What “fair” means in a rotating-partner round robin
Fair does not always mean every matchup is unique. The search weighs the goals below together, so one can trade off against another. Inspect the resulting game counts and repeats before play.
- 1Equal court timeKeep games played as even as the player, court, and round counts allow.
- 2Balanced sit-outsMove rest rounds around instead of leaving the same people waiting.
- 3Varied partnersPrioritize a new teammate before repeating a previous partnership.
- 4Mixed opponents and courtsReduce repeat matchups and court assignments when the math permits.
Start with 10–12 minute games and a two-minute changeover. Timed rounds keep every court moving together.
Round robin FAQ
What does this pickleball round robin generator make?+
It creates doubles games with rotating partners, assigns each game to a court, and spreads sit-outs as evenly as the player and court counts allow.
Is DinkRounds really free?+
Yes. The generator, score entry, copy action, and print view work without an account. Player names are processed only in your browser.
How many players and courts can I use?+
You can schedule 4 to 32 players on 1 to 8 courts, as long as there are at least four players per active court.
Will every player partner with everyone else?+
When the number of rounds makes that mathematically possible, the generator prioritizes new partners. With many rounds or limited combinations, repeats become unavoidable; the balance label makes that visible.
